Canine agility competition

NRK9 Sports Club at Goonellabah will be holding its annual agility and jumping trial this weekend (August 4-5) at the Alstonville Showground.

This free event welcomes all spectators, although visitors of the canine nature must be on a lead.

The trial is expected to attract dogs from NSW and Queensland; some of them have recently competed in the National Agility competition in Sydney. Expect to see jumps, tunnels, A frames, dog walks, see-saws and weave poles to be negotiated.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
