Brisbane woman dies after being shot in the head

HOMICIDE detectives are investigating the death of the 26-year-old Brisbane woman who was reportedly shot in the head on Sunday night.

Police were called to a Springwood Rd residence in Rochedale South at 8.20pm on Sunday.

There they found a woman with life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.

News Limited was reporting on Monday the woman was shot in the head and that a man was assisting police with their inquiries.
