Brides fall in love with vintage romance for their big day
EVERYTHING old is new again in the world of fashion.
And it seems the trend hasn't escaped local brides-to-be planning their weddings.
Melanie Weijers and Kim McKenzie de Gonzalez of the Brisbane-based company The Vintage and Handmade Bride said a number of brides locally had inquired after their services.
"There is a growing interest in vintage-themed weddings," Ms Weijers said.
To cater for the demand, the pair will stage an event next weekend aimed at catering for vintage-themed weddings.
"Our passion is to put south-east Queensland on the map as the place to be when planning a truly unique and personal wedding day," Ms Weijers said.
The event, Love Sweet Love, will be held at Gabbinbar Homestead on Sunday, January 13, and will include workshops and stalls from local and regional wedding professionals.
