Cinema under the stars postponed

The annual Newcastle Permanent Cinema Under the Stars has been postponed due to a forecast of bad weather.

Ice Age 4 was due to be screened on Saturday night, February 16, at Hepburn Park in Goonellabah. It is likely to be re-scheduled for March.

Help celebrate the Anniversary of Aquarius

Rainbow Dreaming, a limited edition book including archival pictures and comprising the work of over 100 photographers, writers, activists and cultural visionaries, is the story of the sustainability movement in the rainbow region of north eastern Australia.

This movement was seeded by the Aquarius Festival held in Nimbin in 1973. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Aquarius Festival, a community start-up project on Vimeo is seeking to get the book published.

If you'd like to help, go to http://vimeo.com/59289655. All proceeds from the sale of this book will go towards the Nimbin Sustainability Hub.
