THE Revenge of the Dwarves is a must-read for fantasy fans.

The third in Mark Heitz's epic series is a fast-paced adventure that focused on dwarves.

That at once makes it different and fresh when compared to the usual fantasy stories that deal with elves and fairies.

The book tells the story of the battle-weary dwarf Tungdil who must now face the most formidable enemy his kingdom has encountered - monstrous hybrid creatures are on the rampage leaving destruction in their wake.

They are out to steal an artefact which is vital for the kingdom's defence - whoever holds it could control the world.

With his own personal demons to face, the warrior and scholar Tungdil must now resort to his trusty double axe and risk everything he knows to save his country from annihilation.

There's plenty to love about this book: Not only the characters but the sharp prose - you can practically hear the axe being sharpened - not to mention heaps of action.
