Bonsai bandits strike

TINY trees worth big money have been stolen in a bizarre robbery in Sydney's south.

At least 30 bonsai plants worth between $5000 and $8000 went missing from a Primbee backyard over night Sunday.

It is believed a trailer or van was parked near the boundary fence of the property and loaded up with the plants.

Police are warning marketgoers and home and garden business owners to be on the look-out for suspicious sellers.

Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
