Boils outbreak delays Waqa's return

FIJI international Sisa Waqa's return to the NRL has been delayed by an outbreak of boils.

Waqa arrived back at the Melbourne Storm three weeks ago after a French rugby stint, but he has been quarantined from the rest of the team.

Waqa played 67 games for Melbourne from 2011-14.

Coach Craig Bellamy said Waqa was to play in the Queensland Cup this weekend, but the boils stopped that.

"He was going well the first couple of weeks but we haven't seen too much of him this week," Bellamy said.

"No one is getting too close to him at the moment."

Bellamy plans to make changes to the team to face the Rabbitohs tomorrow in Perth after the Storm's 38-36 last-round loss to Gold Coast Titans.

He called his side's defensive display against the Titans as the worst in his 15 seasons at the Storm.
