Blue Blue Burrell

BluesCorp (pictured) is five blokes who live the blues. Though the five have been together for less than two years they already have an album Three Whole Years which is traditional blues and some originals.

The BluesCorp sound is all blues but has a sophisticated and distincticve touch of jazz and funk. The standard guitar-bass-drums format is augmented by saxophone and keyboards adding a depth and richness that complements the raw, emotive quality of the blues.

So, if you're a lover of the blues and you want to hear some fine tunes in a beautiful environment then check out BluesCorp when they play Sphinx Rock Café at Mount Buirrell this Sunday, January 22, from 2pm.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
