THE world's top surfers are braced for a big start for the second stop on the men's World Championship Tour at Bells Beach, Victoria.

Forecasters have predicted a large swell to grace the Easter weekend and event organisers could start the tour as early as tomorrow when they make the official call on Wednesday morning.

After narrowly missing out on the top title at the Quiksilver Pro, world number two Joel Parkinson said long-term mate and rival, Mick Fanning, would be the one to watch.

"Mick in particular would be the most informed Bells surfer," Parkinson said.

"He's been surfing amazing and even when he's surfing bad Bells, he's still one of the best."

Fanning, the reigning Rip Curl Pro champion, said he was in a good place.

"I'm comfortable with myself right now," he said.

"Boards are good, body's good so just going to keep going, doing what I'm doing."

The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach event will run from tomorrow until April 1.

Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
