LISMORE locals can rejoice in the fact there is now another place in town that serves breakfast seven days a week.

Far more than just another pub, The Rous is a now an ideal spot for a quick bite before work, a lazy brunch, a spot of morning tea or a modern pub dinner.

The hotel underwent significant renovations last year and now has a new cafe veranda - the perfect spot to watch the world go by.

The new all-weather beer garden can be an airy spot in summer or enclosed, cosy room for winter.

It is also a popular location for functions and special occasions with a modern sound system and flat screen TV.

The menu offers quality traditional pub fare and much more.

It also offers dishes with an international flavour and its new kitchen staff are committed to quality that goes beyond ordinary pub grub.

A new coffee machine pumps out fantastic coffee throughout the day.

Take advantage of the Rous Hotel's current $6 coffee and cake special.

Seniors can choose from three specially prepared meals for only $12.50 when they present their Senior's Card.

General manager Mick Bulmer says, "The days of serving lunch from 12-2pm are over".

"Customers expect more and many don't come to a pub any more to drink," he says.

The Rous Hotel and Cafe certainly knows what locals want.
