Banging the drum for a big week of cricket

As the Lismore Festival of Cricket approaches, the Samba Blisstas are gearing up for a big weekend.

The colourful drumming group will be entertaining crowds in the Lismore CBD on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September, and will be marching into Oakes Oval on the Saturday night to rev the crowd up before a 20/20 game between NSW and Victoria.

Founder of the Samba Blisstas, Paul Barrett started a Lismore version of the group prior to the Lantern Parade and this will be the second public performance for the group who will be joined by the other drummers from Bangalow and Kingscliff. The Lismore Blisstas rehearse every Monday night from 6pm at the Lismore showgrounds and anyone is welcome to drop in and try it.
