Australian killed in balcony fall in Thailand

A YOUNG Australian man has fallen to his death from a hotel balcony in Thailand.

Sebastian Eric Faulkner, 21, was taking time out from his job with ANL Shipping at Phuket when the accident happened on Wednesday.

According to media reports in Bangkok, he recently discharged himself from the Patong hospital where he had sought mental health treatment.

It is believed he may have suffered from hallucinations in the lead-up to his death.

His distraught friend told police they did not know he was in trouble until after he was found.

Mr Faulkner suffered a fractured skull and other injuries and was pronounced dead at the Bangkok Hospital.
