Art students' transition

Transit 2012 is the Southern Cross University's visual arts students' graduating exhibition.

It showcases 45 of Australia's emerging artists at SCU's V Block and opens with celebratory fanfare this Friday, October 12, from 5.30-8.30pm.

The exhibition includes including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, digital art, installation and film - reflecting the diversity of visual arts studies that is available at the university.

On opening night Lismore Regional Gallery will announce the winner of the Lismore Regional Gallery Graduate Award. This award helps students to progress to professional art practice by providing them with an opportunity to exhibit new work.

Transit 2012 runs till Friday, October 26. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am4pm.
