BETTY Wotherspoon sees the world differently since joining the Lismore Art Club.
She is one of about a dozen artists currently exhibiting as part of a "pop-up" exhibition at Lismore Square.
"Since joining the Lismore Art Club I have become so much more observant of everything around me," Betty said.
She joined the club about four years ago and said she found painting to be very relaxing.
Exhibition co-ordinator Roger Jones designed the exhibition to promote local artists and to encourage people who were interested in art to join the club.
He said most of the club members were over 50, but they welcomed anyone with an interest in art.
The exhibition is an initiative of Art in the Heart.
Marketing manager Mel Carrero said Lismore Square was delighted to host it and was open to hosting similar activities.
Artists displaying their works include Margaret E Brown, Anne Slade, Glenda Gilmore, Margaret Hardwick, Bernadette Webster, Val Frearson, Trish Hibbert, Janet McMullen, Roger Jones, Linnea Hannan and Betty Wotherspoon.
"The title of the song Colour My Life with Sunshine is what painting has done for me, and I encourage anyone interested in creating art to join our club and discover what art can do for them," Betty said.
The pop-up exhibition is downstairs at Lismore Square until Saturday. The Lismore Art Club will be holding its annual exhibition at the Lismore Workers Club from August 1-4.
