Art dressed as children

GALLERY 33.3, at 275 Keen Street in Lismore, has a new exhibition, Child's Play, showcasing the works of young up-and-coming artist Lauren Mackley. This is her first solo exhibition.

Child's Play features innocent, sweet, child-like characters bound by elements and imagery that create a sinister overtone. These artworks are mischieviously cute. (And just a bit dark.)

Opening night is this Friday, September 7, at 6pm, where you can have a tipple, see the works and meet the artist.

Child's Play runs till September 24.
