Anti-Adani protesters say they were hit by car

ANTI-ADANI activists claim they were run over when they attempted to block cars from entering the carpark of a company likely to build the coal mine in Queensland.

The Galilee Blockade protest had been in progress for about an hour, at the Brisbane headquarters of construction company Downer Group, when the incident allegedly occurred just before 8am on Friday.

A man and a woman, both aged in their 60s, told police a man attempting to drive into the Woolloongabba carpark they were blocking "nudged" into them with his car.

A police spokeswoman confirmed two people made formal complaints of assault to officers at the Dutton Park Police Station. No charges have been laid.

"They alleged a man in a car nudged them as he was trying to get into the carpark where the protesters had established a picket line. They said the driver edged forward and made contact," she said.
