Another rally for Kyogle?

Kyogle Council have had preliminary discussions with the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) about the possibility of hosting an event in the off years between the Repco World Rally Championship.

According to Council’s general manager Arthur Piggott, CAMS want to hold a tarmac event which would be very different to the dirt road rally championship held earlier this year.

CAMS likened the proposed event to ‘Targa Tasmania’ which is described on their website as “a tarmac rally with competitive stages on closed roads for the best touring, sports and GT cars in the world.”

Mr Piggott said there had been a discussion with CAMS and Council was waiting for them to come back with more detail.
