An itch for etching
Melissa Wright is holding an etching workshop at Barratt Galleries in Alstonville this Sunday, February 28.
“I offer a non-toxic (mostly) etching workshop on zinc or aluminium plates,” Melissa said. “I expect people to have an image ready to draw onto the plate. We start with a line etch and then do two to three aquatints to achieve tones. If time allows we do a small edition. I teach how to handle all materials, editioning, storage, etc.”
The workshop costs $120 and runs from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
