Alcohol spilt on Bruce Hwy after truck rollover at Koumala

THE Bruce Hwy is down to one lane near Koumala after a truck carrying alcohol rolled over this morning.

Police wish to advise that there will be lengthy delays on the Bruce Highway at Koumala following a truck rollover this morning.

It could be lunchtime before the highway is opened in both directions.

Reports suggest the truck has lost part of its load when it rolled.

It is blocked about 1km south of Cameron's Creek Bridge.

Emergency services are currently on scene.

The driver suffered minor injuries and will be taken to the Mackay Base Hospital for observation.

Motorists are urged to delay their travel or seek an alternate route.
