Acoustic crusade in the Sphinx

HAVING bonded and made a musical pact in an old Queenslander during the power-less 2011 Brisbane floods, The Rusty Datsuns have gone on to folkier things.

Melding vocal harmonies with their highly compatible banjos, fiddles, ukuleles and guitar, Sian Evans (Bessy-Lou, Pollysasin), Fern Thompsett (These Dirty Bones) and Alex Skinner (Chocolate Strings) have injected bluegrass twang and lots of enthusiasm into their acoustic crusade.

Hoedown with them at the Sphinx Rock Cafe, Mt Burrell, this Sunday, August 26, from 1pm.
