Accident at Dalwood Falls

A 20-year-old Lismore woman was taken to Lismore Base Hospital with suspected spinal injuries after injuring herself at Dalwood Falls.

The woman was at the popular swimming hole with friends on Saturday afternoon when she climbed down to a lower level to jump, and appears to have injured herself when she hit the water.

Her friends retrieved her from the water and called and ambulance. Police, Fire Brigade and the SES were also called to assist with the retrieval because of the difficult access to the site.

She was carried out by stretcher and taken to Lismore Base where was in a stable condition on Monday afternoon.
