A feast in the park

Byron’s Beggars’ Banquet at Railway Park in Byron this Saturday, December 5, will feature the Rainbow Dreaming exhibition which is just back from a tour of New York, Woodstock and San Francisco.

The Beggars’ Banquet provides the community with a smorgasbord of free food, music, and entertainment for the whole family.

The Banquet fun kicks off at 11am. The free feast starts at 1pm and Santa’s bound to be dropping in. (He loves his tucker.) Everyone’s encouraged to bring something to share for this community picnic in the park. Food and drink will also be available for sale.

Entertainment includes kids’ bands, youth bands, big bands, jazz bands, Irish bands, Latin bands, cabaret acts, bellydancers, reggae dub bands, a drum circle, a fire show, and a DJ set. (Very Byron.)

The Beggars’ Banquet is a fundraiser for the new drop-in centre in Fletcher St.
