A Curley situation

The Curley family have some fairly serious credentials in Australian rock history, with members gracing such notorious bands as Tumbleweed, the Proton Energy Pills and Bellingen's Brut 66.

Patrick Curley's outfit The Velocity of Salvation favours the roots boogie approach to getting punters dancing.

So much so that not only do they play the Dunoon Sports Club tomorrow night, (Friday, July 20) but Patrick's been instrumental in getting a new venue up and running.

The Lismore Workers Club will be hosting local blues and roots artists in a series of monthly gigs at their Golf Club venue in Barham St, East Lismore, from August 11.

Stay tuned, and meanwhile get to tomorrow night's gig at 8pm.
