A cup to treasure

Nimbin poet Jane Treasure won the Lismore Poetry Cup last Wednesday with some word wizardry. Not only did she get the cup but she also got the big bucks - $200 provided by Noahs Arc and the Live Poets.

This is Jane's second Cup win.

Nimbin poets did well in the comp, with Len Martin winning the People's Choice Award of $100 from Inner Sanctum.

The inaugural Geraldine Cup, though, was won by Lismore's Jennie Dell, a former editor of The Northern Rivers Echo, with her poem, Dust.

Congratulations, you clever poets.
