Fiddle-Dance is a trio that features a - you guessed it - fiddle. And the fiddle player is hot, making it as a finalist in the Golden Fiddle award in Tamworth earlier this year. The trio plays Irish, country, Oz rock... just about anything. You can see Fiddle-Dance in action when they play the Richmond Hotel this Friday, October 30, from 8.30pm.
Slim Pickens and Dr Baz return to the Jazz-Bah in the Ballina Hotel to play a few sets of their great selection of blues 'n roots (with a hint of Cajun/Tex/Mex) this Saturday, October 31, from 6pm.
Greg Lyon's El Hippo Band is heavy. It'll rock the barnacles of the Lennox Point Hotel this Sunday, November 1, from 4-7pm. It'll be an afternoon of celebrating the blues in its many heavier forms. Greg Lyon, Geoff Wright, Alan Park and Dave Sanders make up the crew.
Nathan Kaye's back in the Bay with an all new band called the Nathan Kaye Kollective (oh, I get it) this Friday night, October 30, with a gig at The Rails from 6.30pm. He's a lap-steel strumming, slide guitar-slinging, slide-didge blowing, body-popping human beat-box freak. So there.
