Perth singer/songwriter Adrian Keys will play Tommys in Lismore this Friday, April 16, from 9pm. Adrian is promoting his debut EP by playing gigs all over this wide, coal-dusted land. He’ll perform his concoction of pop, blues and reggae tunes surrounded by his trademark suite of musical instruments.
Last time local band Red Belly Black played at the Lennox Point Hotel, women were cartwheeling across the front of the stage. (Don’t ask why...) They’re back there this Saturday night, April 17, from 9.30pm, and hoping their original brand of roots rock will inspire similar acts of frenzied activity. The band also plays the SCU Uni Bar in Lismore next Thursday, April 22, from 8pm.
With a dollop of rock ‘n roll covers mixed with a splash of their own originals (and a pinch of rockabilly), The Purple Drippers guarantee to get the audience dancing when they play the Australian Hotel in Ballina this Saturday, April 17, from 7pm. The band has rocked audences in venues all over Australia including big festivals such as the Gympie Muster and Wintersun.
Karen Hanna and Steve Russell will present original tunes from Karen’s debut album (to be launched soon) when the pair plays the Bang Thai in Bangalow this Friday, April 16, at 7pm. She’ll give the audience a sneak preview of her jazz and blues influenced songs along with her heartfelt ballads. She’ll be accompanied by pianist Steve.
Flugelmeister John Hoffman will be joined by Angela Imura (pictured) on guitar and vocals, OJ Newcomb on double bass and his brother Steve Newcomb on keys when this four-piece plays the Jazz-Bah at the Ballina Hotel this Saturday, April 17, from 6pm. Once again John has imported some hot Brisbane players for the Jazz-Bah. Big night.
