The Avocado Theory will bring some tasty rock to the Richmond Hotel in Lismore this Friday, March 5. These guacamole guys and gal will play classic hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s plus a choice selection of today’s most popular music. The rockin’ action starts at 9pm.

 

Holy Voodoo featuring Dean Love (pictured) will team up with Matt Love for a night of punk blues, folk, poor man’s gospel and backwater country at Northern Rivers Sound in Conway Street, Lismore, this Saturday, March 6. The musical action starts at 7pm and $10 gets you in. This is a vegan event and there’s vegan food and drink available. It’s an all-ages, alcohol-free gig.

Sydney muso Jonathan Boulet plays the Great Northern in Byron in support of his self-titled debut record next Thursday night, March 11. The pied piper of bedroom pop and his band of merry men will fill that venue with high-energy electric melody from 9pm.

 

Oden and Imogen Pemberton play tunes ranging from solo flamenco guitar pieces to jazz standards. Oden (guitarist) and Imogen (vocalist) will perform at the Sandbar & Restaurant in Shaw’s Bay, Ballina, this Sunday, March 7, from 12.30pm.

Bassist and vocalist Hans Lovejoy returns to the Jazz-Bah at the Ballina Hotel this Saturday, March 6, with a new Hans Lovejoy Quartet – Dave Sandford (sax/keys/vocals), Sam Shine (guitar) and Ben Cox (drums). A night of smooth jazz standards from Chet Baker, Vince Jones, and Sting, plus a few blues tunes from 6pm.
