McMullen visits to talk climate change

ABC foreign correspondent and 60 Minutes reporter Jeff McMullen (pictured) believes the North Coast has the opportunity to be a leader in this age of climate change and pioneer community solutions.

McMullen will be presenting a public address entitled For the Common Good at Southern Cross University on Tuesday, December 5, looking at grassroots projects around the world that have resulted in positive change.

Instead of conflict we will examine solutions in land use, town planning, architecture and resource management based on the fact that we are all in this together, McMullen said. The challenges are global and local, especially in the period of global warming.

The free public address is sponsored by the East Coast Mortgage Trust and will be held in Southern Cross Universitys Whitebrook Theatre at 10.30am. Bookings are essential. Phone Diana on 6620 3354.
