Fun bowls for charity
The Australian Organisation for Young People Living with Cancer is hosting a charity fun bowls day at the Lismore Workers Height Bowling Club on Sunday, November 19. The triples event, which will require at least one club member in each team, gets underway at 9am. The $10 entry includes a sausage sizzle at 12.30pm.

Water world tees off
The Summerland House With No Steps annual charity golf day will be held on Tuesday, November 26, at Ballina Golf Club. All proceeds from this years event will go toward the installation of a water theme park in the House With No Steps playground.
The theme park will cost around $90,000 and will provide seven or eight interactive water play installations for children and the young at heart.

Charity tennis night
Lismore Tennis Centre will host a charity tennis night on Tuesday, November 21, from 5.30-9pm. All proceeds from the night go to Camp Quality. Players can register for $10 per player or $25 per family of four. Interested players can phone Ken at Lismore Tennis on 6621 3417 or Mary on 6621 4160.
Triathlon coaching course
Triathlon NSW will be presenting a level one triathlon coach training program from November 17-19 at the Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Camp, Lennox Head.
The course, which is part of the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme, is being conducted in response to the interest and growth in triathlon currently being enjoyed within the North Coast region.

Locals fill up rugby academy
Fourteen local rugby players have been chosen for the North Coast Academy of Sport Rugby squad for this year after many players debuted in the local Coopers Far North Coast Rugby first division season this year. The players are Lismores Sam and Sean Cox, Brock Jensen, Marcus Skudder, Michael Thomas, Taylor Willott and Blake Brewer-Charles, while Wollongbar is represented by Jason Higgins, Simon Oeding, Tom Sandral, Chris Miller and Sam Marsh.
The players received the good news after an exciting final selection trial at Grafton late last month.
