Local band Fort formed six years ago on a hill ove

Local band Fort formed six years ago on a hill overlooking Byron (where forts should be). During that time they have trod the rock n roll path incessant touring, rehearsing, jamming, recording, releasing and more touring. Its been three years since the bands debut album In A New Light was released to much rock excitement. Their next album is almost finished. To hear the new songs and some old favourites catch these rockers at the Tatts Hotel in Lismore this Friday, November 10, from 9pm, for a night of crunching, classic rock laden with guitar-driven power riffs.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
