Artizanzoo Artspace will open its doors on Friday, November 10, in Grant Street, Ballina. Apparently this is that fair towns first ever fine art gallery and has been 10 years in the making from directors Louise Gregg and Vaughn Pinxit, both artists themselves.

The opening exhibition West From Here by Byron artist Karyn Fendley reflects her fascination with the landscapes of Bald Rock and Giraween National Parks near Tenterfield.

The paintings convey a feeling of space that is evocative of these landscapes, said Fendley. They also offer a fresh contemporary look at the landscape genre with technology being used to produce the work.

West From Here will run until January.
