Over the years some of the best gigs to see in Nimbin have been its famous fashion shows. Like everything that Nimbin does, the Nimbin Fashion Show has its own funky individuality where the creative spirit is free to push the fashion boundaries.

This year therell be three shows at the Nimbin Town Hall Friday, November 17 at 7.30pm; Saturday, November 18 at 2.30pm; and that Saturday night, November 18 at 7.30pm.

There will be some well known designers showcasing their work. Like Pol, whose ball gowns and evening wear would illicit gasps from any catwalk in the world. And like Christina Chester with her garments embellished with applicaides, brocade, braids and other trimmings. Barbara Mills recent retail successes in Sydney has taken her sensual felting to a new and appreciative audience.

But according to organisers David Hyett and Christina Chester, its the youths involvement that is especially exciting.

The youngest designer, Holly Fry, is seven-years-old and the children of Tuntable Primary School (who have included fashion in their curriculum) will present a selection of youth street wear.
