Whose values?

We definitely need publicly funded school chaplains. Do we? Havent military chaplains shown their worth during centuries of warfare, telling soldiers that its okay to kill the enemy soldier on the other side of the trench?

Maybe school chaplains will tell our kids that its okay to bully Muslim students but not their Christian mates?

Maybe we should have Buddhist chaplains. After all, contrary to Christians, no Buddhist has ever fought a war in the name of Buddhism or killed to convert a believer of another faith.

Im all for teaching our kids values other than consumerism and elbow mentality. Who is John Howard to talk about values?
