Opera singers do jazz

Opera Australias Kate Sheppeard (pictured) and Juan Jackson join the Jack Thorncraft Trio in presenting an evening of Gershwin and Cole Porter at Lismore City Hall this Saturday, November 4.

Kate and Juan are opera singers but have a huge contemporary repertoire having performed in theatre groups and ensembles before joining Opera Australia.

Bassist Jack Thorncraft has played with just about every jazzist in Australia, as well as visiting internationals. With Steve Russell on keyboard and Dave Sanders on drums the trio will provide the perfect setting for those fine voices.

Theres a bar.

Tickets are $20 from NORPA at Lismore City Hall (6622 0300) and all monies go to SMARTCare.

The gig starts at 7.30pm.
