A 16-year-old Casino youth was killed on Saturday afternoon when he was caught in a cardboard pressing machine at the Teeling Recycling Factory in Casino. Police said WorkCover NSW are investigating the accident. The Coroner and the teenagers family have requested his name not be released.

Two men and a woman have been arrested and charged over a home invasion in Rous Road, Goonellabah, last Wednesday. The victim suffered cuts to his arm, leg and face after being attacked with machetes by the two men.

Two Goonellabah teenagers aged 16 and 17 will appear in Lismore Childrens Court on November 13 after being charged over a home invasion at Bottlebrush Crescent, Suffolk Park, last Tuesday. During the incident two men were attacked and injured, and their house was ransacked. Police said the injured men, who suffered bruising and swelling, were treated at Byron Bay Hospital and later discharged.

A 32-year-old Lismore man was arrested in a motel in Ballina Street, Lismore, on Monday morning after police found an amount of cannabis, amphetamines, cash and property believed to have been stolen.

Police have charged a 21-year-old Lismore man with the assault of a 33-year-old Lismore man after an alleged fight in Keen Street, Lismore, in the early hours of Sunday morning. The older man was admitted to Lismore Base Hospital with head and facial injuries.

Detectives are investigating the serious assault of a 35-year-old Lismore man in the early hours of Saturday morning in Wade Park, East Lismore. Police say the man was in the park with two women, after visiting the East Lismore Bowling Club earlier in the night, when he was set upon by two men. The victim was taken to Lismore Base Hospital with multiple fractures to his jaw, eye sockets and nose. Police are keen to speak to the women and anyone else with information about the attack.
