NSW Government labels Alstonville bypass part of the Pacific Highway

The NSW Labor Government has shown its complete ignorance of issues affecting the Far North Coast by labelling the Alstonville bypass part of the Pacific Highway.

The out-of-touch NSW Government responded to a question on the status of the Alstonville bypass posed during the recent Budget Estimates by spouting facts about the Pacific Highway upgrade.

It is of great concern that this Labor Government is so disconnected from regional areas it believes the Alstonville bypass is part of the Pacific Highway rather than the Bruxner Highway.

This is completely unacceptable. Not only has this government reneged on its promise to build the bypass by the end of this year, now it cant even get the location right.

This government is so city-centric, it doesnt know the Alstonville bypass is not on the Pacific Highway.

It is clear the only way the Alstonville bypass is going to be built is under a NSW Liberal/Nationals Coalition Government.

Tribute to Causley

Long-serving MP Ian Causley has made a significant contribution to the electorates of Clarence (state) and Page (federal) during his 23 years in parliament.

Ian has been a staunch advocate for a stronger economy for the NSW North Coast and was always keen to ensure people who wanted to work be given that opportunity.

He is a straight-shooter who always said what he thought.

Throughout his long career he has been strongly supported by his popular wife June.

They have both given dedicated service to the Clarence and Page electorates, attending thousands of functions and supporting our local communities.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
