Solution sessions

Next Tuesday, October 31, there will be films, food and information when Sustainable Solutions: Beyond Nuclear takes place at Mary Gilhooleys Pub in Lismore from 6.30-9.30pm.

The evening will feature David Bradburys frightening film Blowin In The Wind (this is a must-see film) and a documentary The Power of Community: How Cuba Survived Peak Oil.

Plus therell be acoustic music, guest speakers, and discussion on climate change and real solutions.

Organic vegie meals and chai will be available.

This session will also take place at the Byron Community Centre on Tuesday, November 7.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
