An assault on four males in Kadina Street, Goonell

An assault on four males in Kadina Street, Goonellabah, around 12.30am on October 7 led to the arrest of a 19-year-old Goonellabah man on Saturday night. The four victims were assaulted as they walked west into Kadina Street on their way home. The man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault and affray.

Police are warning motorists to secure vehicles after a 1994 white Ford station wagon was stolen from Ballina Road, Alstonville, between 8.30pm Saturday night and 8.30am Sunday morning.

A 32-year-old Lismore man was arrested and charged on Tuesday for theft. Police were alerted by a member of the public who said the man was acting suspiciously. Police allege the man was in possession of a large suitcase which contained numerous items including crockery, linen, musical instruments, books, an inflatable mattress, sleeping bags, a small tent and camping goods which are believed to be stolen or otherwise illegally obtained. The man will appear in Lismore Local Court in November.

Part of a small decorative windmill from East Lismore, which belonged to a 67-year-old Caldwell Avenue man, was stolen between 7am and 7pm on Monday. Information to Lismore Police on 6623 1599.
