Standing up for Suzuki
In response to your last editions S Sense which (just between you and me) I found a bit disappointing. Dont get me wrong, love the guy, its just that there was more than a whiff of born-again sanctimoniousness to his, at times, overly harsh critique of David Suzukis City Hall performance and impending retirement.
I mean come on S, I never once saw your mug on the front line, in the trenches or anywhere within cooee of the scores of get-your-hands-dirty-type-environmental-actions that have occurred in this part of the world. (Unless, of course, you were off saving some fish somewhere?)
Twenty years of giggling while Rome burns then finally you hand out a How-to-Vote card and get your arse to a direct action and all of a sudden David Suzuki, in flogging his autobiography, is almost fiddling like Nero?
Give me a break, youve got to be kidding.
But of course, you were.
