Kyogle artist Pam Cowgill is hosting a retrospective of her art from the last four decades, entitled A Body of Work, at the Roxy Gallery in Kyogle.
The large range of works reflect Pams love of experimentation and passion for all facets of the arts. There are a host of drawings as well as portraits, abstract, landscape and figurative paintings displayed alongside her pottery and sculpture.
Some of the works have been borrowed back from collectors especially for the show, and many have not graced the walls of a gallery for more than 30 years.
The collection is like a static journey through Pams life, giving an insight into what was affecting her and the world at the time. She was often influenced by womens issues and the political climate of the day, and its fascinating to watch her creative development over so many years.
During the exhibition a DVD display of 167 photographs of other works by Pam will also be screened, providing further insight into her evolution as an artist.
A Body of Work will be opened at the Roxy Gallery this Sunday, October 22, at 3pm and everyone is welcome. The exhibition will remain on show until November 15.
A supplementary exhibition is being held at Pam Cowgills Gallery to coincide with this show. Visits to Pam Cowgills Gallery are by appointment and can be arranged by phoning 6633 1385.
