Wear your art

Keep your cultural calendar free for this years WAVE (Wearable Arts Vision in Education) event at Shearwater Steiner School from November 2-5.

One person entering her recycled wearable art pieces is Svea Lucia Bjornsson. Svea has created a fashion art piece from twist tops (pictured). Using 4096 recycled twist tops (each with four holes punched in them) and 400m of tie-wire, Svea has created this unique dress. (And drunk heaps of twist tops...)

WAVE blends theatrics and choreography, seeking through dance, music, drama, lighting, costume and pageantry to bring the focus back on the human being.
