The DJ explosion

This Saturday, October 21, is DJ invasion day when the groovy Italo Club in North Lismore will shake with the beats of electronica in a six-hour beats blitz called Indoor Sessions from 6pm.

Therell be an upstairs scene and a downstairs one with a wild mix of local and interstate DJs exploring a veritable smorgasbord of underground electronica in this funky, historic venue. (Long live the Italo Club!)

Some of the featured artists are Foote, ManArchY vs Azura, Mesa, Paul Abad, Yawnthesleepy, M-Phonic, Steel and Kayhat.

This gig supports our local community radio station 2NCR-FM and 2NCR-FM members will get a $2 discount off the entry price of $10.

Therell be food by the Zen Sushi crew.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
