Conservatorium open day
Have you ever wanted to learn how to sing but didnt know where to go? Maybe theres a musical instrument collecting dust in the shed? Have you always wanted to dance or have acting lessons but havent had the time? Have you a child that youd like to introduce to the wonderful world of music?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then get along to the Northern Rivers Conservatoriums Open Day this Saturday, October 21.
There will be music ensembles, dance displays, an early childhood music open class, acting class rehearsal, tech lab and recording studio demonstrations plus a childrens art class.
Information on the full-time courses on offer in 2007 will be available and prospective students can talk to teachers and department co-ordinators.
The day will kick off at 9am with a garage sale. Equipment, furniture, building materials, costumes, props and other items will be on sale in the basement.
At 12 noon there will be a free outdoor concert featuring student bands, the string ensemble, vocalists, flamenco dancers and short drama pieces.
Food and drinks will be available during the day from the Con Coffee Shop and there will also be a lunchtime sausage sizzle.T
