Johns Gift

John Gift has a new album. Enjoy the launch this Friday in Lismore.

After six years since the last one, local singer, songwriter muso, dad, husband and worker for social justice John Gift will launch his new CD Its Time To Go Now at the Tatts Hotel in Lismore this Friday, October 13, from 8pm.

The album features Johns bluesy, emotional voice across a range of acoustic rock songs written by him and backed by his finger-picking guitar work and, on some tracks, by a coterie of local musicians. One of the songs on the CD was written by Luke Vassella, who also adds his vocals to that track.

Luke will also perform at the launch. $5 gets you in and monies raised go to the very worthwhile Lismore Soup Kitchen (where John has been focussing much of his energies in recent times).

Freebie: The Echo has a copy of Its Time To Go Now to give away to some lucky reader. To go in the draw to win phone 6622 2888 between 10.30 & 10.45am next Monday, October 16, and tell us what the abbreviation Tatts (as in Tatts Hotel) stands for.
