Drawing on life

This painting Waterfall Nude by Fiona Lohrbaecher is hanging in Lismore as part of her exhibition The Spice of Life.

Rock Valley artist Fiona Lohrbaecher has her first exhibition showing at Luv a Coffee caf in Carrington Street, Lismore.

The exhibition The Spice of Life is in honour of Nola Littlejohn, whose life drawing classes at Lismore ACE were an inspiration to Fiona and have led to this exhibition. While the exhibition is predominantly life drawings and portraits, Fiona has included a few paintings for variety.

The Spice of Life runs until November 30.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
