Shootout Golf comes to Byron Bay

Handicap golfs latest craze is coming to Byron Bay Shootout Golf.

This exciting new concept will have its inaugural North Coast Championship on Friday, October 13, at the Byron Bay Golf Club. This event is a pre-qualifier for the Australian Championships to be held on the Gold Coast later in the year.

The brainchild of Chris Parkes, Shootout Golf is gaining popularity amongst all those who have taken up the challenge. Hardly a newcomer to sporting initiatives, Parkes was also co-founder of the hugely successful Oztag form of recreational non-contact rugby league.

The Shootout involves a sudden death playoff system where eight people are determined through a super six-hole draw. The system gives everyone a chance and is growing quickly in popularity because it lets players beat the burglar, metaphorically speaking. Burglars are golfers who play under a dubious and over large handicap and subsequently win.

For more information and bookings phone Chris on 1800 234 100.
