Thomas the organ master

Thomas Heywood is a master of the organ. He travels the world playing this king of instruments and will visit Lismore for a performance soon.

There is only one Australian musician who has ever made a living as a professional organist and that person is 32-year-old Thomas Heywood. His youth brings a whole new approach to his organ performance. His superb technical skills highlight the power and magic of this instrument.

A UK newspaper said, Heywood has a rapport that a rapper would envy... the audience was brought to a noisy standing ovation. What a concert!

Thomas has just returned to Australia after six months performing in the UK, Ireland and the USA. (The Dallas Morning News called his performance the most compelling music making of any kind Ive heard in ages.)

Thomas Heywood will present a program that includes Sibelius celebrated Finlandia and Verdis Grand March from Aida at Lismore Uniting Church on Friday, October 6, at 7.30pm. Tickets are $20/15 (kids free).
