Ry Cuming from Byron was playing his guitar in the hallway of a hostel in Costa Rica when he was discovered by a Hollywood film producer. Since then the young muso has signed a production deal and will record his debut album at Kiefer Sutherlands Ironworks Studio in Los Angeles.
But wait. Theres more!
Ry has recently been selected as one of six winners of the Nes Caf Big Break (from more than 4100 entries) and has been awarded $15,000 to help him get back to LA to record and pay for his three-year talent visa for the United States.
But wait even further!
One of the final six is going to get $100,000. This will be decided by public online voting. This is where you can help Ry get the big money for his musical project.
Voting is open until October 31 at www.nescafebigbreak.com.au/voting/finalists/ry_cuming.asp.
