A prize worth watching

Raffle winner Monique Randell (front) with Chandlers manager Michael Haddin (rear centre), Northern Rivers Ulysses Club president Ron Gaurdron and the club secretarys wife Sharon Polese.

Monique Randell loves to buy raffle tickets, and even though theres been many times shes walked away empty handed, shes never given up hope that one her day her number would come up.

And low and behold it did last week, when Monique was named winner of the Northern Rivers Ulysses Club raffle and became the proud owner of a 76cm flat screen TV.

Its the first time Ive won anything, said Monique, so I suppose its true that perseverance eventually pays off. My current TV is well over 10 years old and its definitely not a flat screen!

The Northern Rivers Ulysses Club is a motorbike club for people over the age of 40. The club raises substantial funds for the Life Saver Rescue Helicopter through raffles and the clubs annual poker run.

Second prize of a Chandlers DVD player and a $40 Bunnings gift voucher went to Barbara Mofton, while the third prize, a $60 Bunnings voucher, went to D. Manson.
