Digging Diva

These fashionable guys and gals are not gangsters but rather the showband Divalicious demonstrating one of their costume changes. They play Ballina this Friday.

After killing them on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane (hence the gansta look) the band formerly known as The Diva Show and now known as Divalicious will turn it on in the Riverside Lounge at the Ballina RSL Club this Friday, September 22.

From soul and motown to disco and modern pop these performers cover a huge range of styles with funky musical skill, outrageous costume changes, a dynamic light show and a great deal of fun. With singer Rosalyns powerful and soaring voice, her huge stage presence and the bands musical abilities, Divalicious brings palpable excitement to the stage and the audience.

Bring your dancing shoes.

The fun starts at 8.30pm.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
